Pinings: Simple questions

About a month ago, I found an earring in the living room that wasn?t mine. I live with my boyfriend and asked him about it. He said he had no idea ?that maybe it was my mom, my sister ?.or a friend of ours who lost it. I have asked them all and they all say it doesn?t belong to them. I?m freaking out about this and what bothers me is that my boyfriend is just being very calm about it. He doesn?t get why I am bugged and keeps telling me to calm down.
I?m not normally a jealous person. I feel as if I have a reason to be concerned. My boyfriend thinks I?m overreacting.
Should I just drop it?
