Curtain calls

• Albee: After tackling Arthur Miller’s All My Sons in 2008, Deborah Shaw takes on another classic drama. She directs Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? for M & M Productions Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. from Nov. 6 through Nov. 14 at the Bedford Old Town Hall, 3 Meetinghouse Road in Bedford, in association with Bedford Off Broadway.
Shaw won a “best director” New Hampshire Theatre Award for All My Sons, with Milford Area Players. Lead actors from that production, Len Deming and Mari Keegan, play a professor and his wife in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Their cocktail guests, a junior professor and his wife played by William McGregor and Meredith Borgioli, “get sucked into the vortex of the warring duo’s unbounded fury,” according to a press release from M & M. • Scotland and Hamlet: The Dana Center at Saint Anselm College hosts visiting and college performances on the campus at 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, 641-7700, www.anselm.edu/dana/.
Visible Fictions of Scotland has a touring production of Jason and The Argonauts stopping at the Dana Center on Friday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. Two actors play 50 roles in a show inspired by Greek myth, with the help of action figures. It recently ran at Broadway’s New Victory Theater, and it’s geared for middle school ages. Ticket costs range from $12.50 to $23.50.
New Art Theatre/Living Classics Series presents the world’s great plays under the artistic direction of Robert Shea (also the Dana Center director), normally for educational institutions. See a public New Art performance of Shakespeare’s Hamlet Thursday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. ($6-$23.50).
The Shangri-La Chinese Acrobats perform at the Dana Center on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. ($6-$27.50).
• More tours: The Stepcrew, performing Celtic-inspired music and dance, comes to the Capitol Center for the Arts, 44 South Main St., Concord (ccanh.com, 225-1111, $12.50-$45) Sunday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 p.m.
