Chez Vachon: 136 Kelley St., Manchester; 625-9660. Breakfast on weekends. Home of poutine, salmon pie, and other regional classics. Listen to the regulars speak French.

Suzie Q's: 280 North Main St., Manchester; 666-4882. Breakfast and lunch. Homey atmosphere, huge portions. Looks small on the outside but has large dining room in rear of building.

Tony's Grinders: 542 Elm St., Manchester; 669-8337. Authentic Canadian cuisine and grinders. Established in 1960, it's Manchester's oldest sub shop, but that's not all. A big favorite with French-speaking regulars, and a great place to get poutine.
