O'Donnell's Irish Tavern: 547 Donald St., Bedford; 668-2120. An average tavern for most of the week, but Thursday is Irish food day with dishes like Irish lamb stew and corned beef and cabbage. Adjacent to a driving range and wacky miniature golf course.

OK Parker's: 89 Hanover St., Manchester, 645-1106. Features Boar's Head brand deli meats. Offers daily specials and an assortment of sure-to-satisfy sandwiches. The closest thing in Manchester to the kind of Irish tavern found in so many other cities.

Tipsy McStagger's: 96 Hanover Street, Manchester; 625-0810. Attached to Stage Door Café, Tipsy's is a non-smoking pub with authentic Irish fare.

Wild Rover: 21 Kosciuszko St., Manchester; 669-7722. Popular pub known for Guinness on tap also offers creative menu featuring Irish Pie and Bangers and Mashed. Great slogan: "An Irish pub on a Polish street in a French city."
