Shogun Japanese Steak House: 545 Daniel Webster Highway N., Willow Tree Plaza, Manchester; 669-8122. American-style Japanese place; swords juggled at tables! Quite a good show and good food, too.

Taipei & Tokyo 3: 7 Colby Court, Shop 'n Save Plaza, Bedford; 622-2588. Authentic gourmet Chinese and Japanese, including sushi bar. Good selection of Japanese appetizers, including gyoza (pan-fried dumplings) and tako-su (octopus with vinegar sauce - yum!)

Thousand Crane: 1000 Elm St., Manchester; 634-0000. Downtown's first sushi bar features a full menu of Japanese and Chinese specialties. Open seven days a week. Unusual feature: free valet parking with dinner.
