Pho Vietnamese Noodle House: 138 Main St., Nashua; 886-4566. Authentic dishes including pho (soup), Vietnamese vermicelli noodles, and plenty of vegetarian choices. Don't let the spartan atmosphere fool you - a tremendous place worth traveling to for the food and prices, which have gone up recently but are still a steal. After perusing the endless menu, if you still can't decide, go with the spicy eggplant casserole.

Rice and Roll: 13 Broad St., Nashua; 882-8644. The Gate City's other Vietnamese restaurant offers moderate prices, vegeterian dishes, low cholesterol menu choices, and a spiffy dining room. Another one worth driving down to the Gate City for if you crave authentic Vietnamese.
