U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter is staying busy in Washington, D.C., on a number of projects. The Democrat, who is serving her second term after beating now-state Sen. Jeb Bradley for the second time in November, is a former social worker and teacher. It looks like Shea-Porter will be matching up with Manchester Mayor Frank Guinta in 2010.

Five public sculptures were added to Nashua over the past year through its first International Sculpture Symposium. Four more are expected to be placed in June after a second, from May 17 through June 7.

Then he told ESPN’s Peter Gammons this in an interview he had to do after disclosures in Selena Robert’s upcoming book had him dead to rights: “This lady is coming out with all these allegations, all these lies because she’s writing an article for Sports Illustrated and she’s coming out with a book in May.” After Alex Rodriguez recanted that because it was all true, he said he only took steroids while a member of the Texas Rangers.
