From formal functions to a tasty meal in the living room, Caroline’s Full Service Catering wants to bring a high-end dining experience to your table.

Chef/owner Caroline Arend opened Caroline’s Full Service Catering, a new division of Capers: Fine Food For All Occasions, as a way to get back to what she loves most.
“Catering is always what I’ve done, so it’s my first love,” Arend said in a phone interview.
Capers Fine Food had been doing some catering, but not full-service. Caroline’s covers a wide range of events, including weddings, small dinner parties, charity events, corporate drop-off lunches and even book clubs.
“The thing that really defines us is it’s like having a mobile restaurant,” she said. “We cook onsite, and it’s high-end food.”
The company’s latest endeavor is serving healthy prepared meals to go, which began about a month ago. The idea came to Arend, a mother of four, during an exercise class.
“I know all these people and they’re working so hard … and they go out and shuttle kids around and have no time to work [out a dinner plan] and end up eating junk,” she said.
Knowing how tough it is for parents to balance running around while trying to plan meals, she decided to help.
Arend develops a weekly menu, offered Monday through Friday, made up of seasonal ingredients. She lists the following week’s meals (which include a main course and suggested side pairings) on her website the Friday before around 6 p.m. Patrons can call, email or text to place their order at least 24 hours before pickup. The meals are ready each evening between 4 and 6 p.m. at Cupcakes 101 in Bedford. While picking up a two-day serving is an option, Arend said it’s best to get the meals fresh each day.
The prepared meals to go are important to Arend, who wants other families to know the options and benefits of eating healthy and fresh food.
“A lot of people are shying away from eating a lot of carbs and starches, and nothing I make comes out of a jar, a can — it’s all fresh made food,” she said. “I think that’s really important that people recognize that you can eat that and be satisfied and delighted by it.”
