12/13/2012 - Chattanooga indie-gloom foursome Moonlight Bride offer their second EP here, perhaps hoping to define themselves (or maybe not) prior to their first album, slated for next year. If you’ve ever heard Warlocks, you’ve experienced this band’s core sound, or at least the basic gist — Moonlight Bride sounds like Warlocks after getting dumped by particularly intolerable girlfriends and forcing themselves to listen to Nick Drake nonstop for a month. Translated into non-nerd, what I’m saying is that there’s a lot of Cocteau Twins reverb — actually, a lot of Cocteau Twins, period; some quirky, barely conscious Bon Iver chill, and anything else you could think of that would make them no more remarkable than Sleep Whale. “It Could Happen” erupts into violently sloshy shoegaze mayhem, too little too late.
